MEP: At least 20 people were killed and 42 others wounded in a mass shooting at a nightclub in the Florida city of Orlando.
The incident happened early Sunday morning at the Pulse Club, a gay nightclub in the city. It posted on its Facebook page: “Everyone get out of pulse and keep running”.
Orlando police said “it was an act of terrorism, but they did not yet know if it was domestic or international.
Relatives have been gathering at local hospitals desperate for news.
Video footage shared on social media showed a high police presence around the club.
“We were just leaving the club and we started hearing the shots,” clubber Anthony Torres told the Daily News. “Everyone was running and screaming.”
Some of the injured were reportedly brought to the Orlando Regional Medical Center in police pick-ups.
