Security Forces Pushed Taliban From Tarinkot

MEP: The Afghan security forces in Uruzgan province led by General Abdul Razeq, police chief of Kandahar, have pushed away the armed Taliban from the center of Tarinkot city.

Local officials said Friday that with the arrival of fresh troops the Taliban have been defeated in the city but the clashes are still ongoing.

It is said that nearly 100 Taliban fighters and 15 security personnel were killed in this battle so far.

The armed Taliban have launched its deadly attacks from a few days in the center of Tarinkot and heavy clashes still ongoing fighting between security forces and the Taliban in the distance of 4 km from the center of the city.

According to reports, the Taliban are facing defeat in the battle and security forces continue their advances.
