At least 12 people dead in twin blasts in Syria’s Damascus
As many as 12 people have been killed and several others wounded after two terrorist explosions hit a southern district of Syria’s capital Damascus, state media say.
The explosions occurred in al-Midan neighborhood in the city on Monday after at least two terrorists detonated their explosive vests in front of a police station in the area.
The pro-Damascus al-Mayadeen TV channel said four militants carried out the attack.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack. However, such incidents are often claimed by Daesh (ISIS/ISIL) terrorist group.
The injured in the blasts were reportedly taken to the nearby hospitals.
