Agreement To Expel Afghan Refugees From Sweden Rejected

MEP: The Afghan Parliament on Wednesday rejected the document of an agreement between Afghanistan and Sweden on deportation of refugees, by a majority vote.

The document earlier was organized and signed in one Introduction, three Annex and 20 article by the Ministry for Refugees and the government of Sweden.

The document presented for MPs for final approval.

Abdul Qayum Sajadi, a member of the parliamentary committee on international affairs, presented the document to the representatives, said there are legal requirements in this document that go beyond the document.

“It has written in the document that since the signing of the two sides would be applied, while the parliament did not approve yet, but the emphasis is on refugees forced out,” Sajadi added.

Sajadi stated that the second paragraph of the document says that the Afghan government is obliged to prepare the context on return of Refugees and Accommodation for them and immigrants are indebted to leave the country of Sweden.

According to the representative of the people of Ghazni in the House, in paragraph “b” of Article III of this document has also been said that Afghan citizens in Sweden will not be accepted; it has been commanded to leave the country.

Sajadi added that the fifth paragraph is contrary to and incompatible with the national interest of Afghanistan, said that respect for the whole family, people whose asylum application is not accepted, along with all his family members on a mandatory basis will be dismissed.

After these statements, the representatives rejected this document by a majority votes. The document received only six green cards.

At the same time, the Treaty of Morocco with two red cards and a majority votes, was approved by the House of Representatives.
